Richard Peters, MA Professor of Education Emeritus October 29, November 5, 12 and 19 High Country Empires: The Story of Ranching, Farming, Mining and Railroading on the High Plains During the Late 19th Century From vast fortunes to complete destitution, early American emigrants from the East and Europe faced exciting and many times devastating economic experiences. These monumental encounters formed much of the financial and social landscapes for more than 100 years afterward. We will begin with

Swing by the pedmall over lunch and get a shot of root beer. Sigma Tau will be charging a quarter per shot and all the money will be given to an orphanage in Kenya.
