Cole Library hosts a preschool story time every Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. Cathy Boggs uses a weekly theme that ties together stories, songs and finger plays. Story hour lasts 30 minutes and is located in the Children's Room on first floor.

Early Out Movie... Freaky Friday-PG Due to the wonderful turnout of children at our Early Out Movie Days we need to have families call in and reserve a seat. We are able to safely accommodate 50 children. Call 895-4271 or stop in at the the library's third floor circulation desk to reserve your seat.

Rare Medical Illustration Book Viewing Reception
The history of medicine comes alive in Cole Library when University of Iowa librarian Edwin Holtum shares a variety of medical illustration books from the John Martin Rare Book Room from Iowa's Hardin Science Library. The viewing offers a glimpse at the human body as depicted by anatomists and artists from centuries past. Please join us to view the books and for a light reception. Sponsored by Dimensions: The Center for the Science and Culture of Healthcare.

Auditions for Sam Shepard's "A Lie of the Mind"
Call-backs will be scheduled on Saturday, December 1st from 2pm to 6pm also in Room 224 of Armstrong Hall. Please prepare a 1 and 1/2 minute contemporary monologue. You may be asked to present an additional piece, so have a second contrasting contemporary monologue prepared as well. A sign-up sheet will be posted on the Callboard outside of the Green Room in Armstrong Hall.
