BioTour at Cornell
BioTour, a group dedicated to renewable energy development, will be bringing their biodiesel-powered bus to campus Wednesday, May 14. BioTour offers tours, lectures, and discussion of renewable energy technology. Sponsored by the Environmental Studies program and LACE.

"I Love Cornell" Day
The Student Life Committee asks all students and faculty to wear their Cornell clothing over the lunch hour on Wednesday, May 14, to show the unity and pride around the Cornell community. Candy prizes will be given for participants outside of Sodexho at lunch-- larger candy for enthusiastic participants. Wear Cornell and be rewarded (with candy)!

Commons Circle
Commons Circle closed for BioTour
To accomodate the BioTour bus event, the Commons Circle will be closed until 5pm on Wednesday, May 14th. The circle will close at 12:30 am on Wednesday, May 14th. Any vehicle remaining in the Circle at this time will be subject to citation and possible tow. Questions about the event can be addressed to Rhawn Denniston, x4306, questions about parking can be addressed to Mike Williamson, x4299. We appreciate you cooperation and understanding.

The Mount Vernon kindergarten class visits the Multi-Sports Center for activities with Coaches Ness, Brase and Dillon; plays the organ with Lynda Hakken in King Chapel; has lunch in The Commons; and sees experiments in West Science with the Chemistry Club,Craig Teague,& Teresa Beary).

$2 tickets to the Cedar Rapids Kernel's game
PAAC is selling $2 to the Cedar Rapids Kernel's baseball game. Tickets are for sale May 12, 13, and 14 during lunch at the Commons lobby tables. The game is Sunday, May 18 at 2:00pm. One ticket per student, bring your ID. Limited tickets available, so get yours fast!

Nomination deadline for Student Leadership Award
Do you know a student organization that has had spectacular programming or leadership this year or a student leader who deserves to be recognized for hard work and dedication? The Student Leadership Awards are coming soon and nominations are needed. The awards night is May 21 at 7 p.m. on the OC. Everyone is invited to this event where student organizations and student leaders will be recognized for their spectacular programming, leadership, and hard work. Refreshments will be served.

English Department Awards Night
Students, faculty, and staff are invited to the annual English Department Awards Night on Wednesday, May 14, at 7 p.m. in Harlan Dining Room. The festive evening will include the conferring of academic and creative awards, the reading of original poetry and prose, a celebration of senior English majors, and the enjoyment of live music and refreshments. The 2008 issue of Open Field will also be unveiled. Everyone is welcome.
