Cole Library hosts a preschool story time every Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. Cathy Boggs uses a weekly theme that ties together stories, songs and finger plays. Story hour lasts 30 minutes and is located in the Children's Room on first floor.
11:10 amHAIG lecture The Commons
Professors Shannon Reed and Barbara Christie-Pope will present "Team-Teaching is Strange Love or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Science/Writing." Last year, they team-taught a writing in the sciences course. They will talk about their experiences with that course and will discuss the benefits and challenges of collaborating in the classroom.

St. Paul Lutheran Church sponsored Bible study. Meets every Thursday except during Block Breaks.
3:45 pmPresentation by a candidate for the two-year teaching position in Mathematics - cancelled Law Hall
Cancelled - Mr. Matthew Rissler a candidate for the two-year teaching position in the Department of Mathematics, will give a presentation titled, "Mathematical Models of Myxococcus xanthus" Thursday, February 14, 3:30 p.m. Law Hall 221. There will be a reception in the Moosehead Lounge following the presentation. Members of the Cornell community are welcome to attend.

7:00 pmVisiting Writers Series The Commons
Journalist Kathryn Eastburn will read from and discuss her work. She is the author of Simon Says: A True Story of Boys, Guns, and Murder. Through painstaking research, journalist Kathryn Eastburn gets into the minds of these boys to reveal a place where the rites of passage to young manhood, to acceptance, come at an exorbitant price. She is also the author of A Sacred Feast: Reflections on Sacred Harp Singing and Dinner on the Ground which will be published in April.
