Eating Disorder Screening Program
The Counseling Center is offering FREE Eating Disorder Screenings for students. You may either take the screening online (go to www.cornellcollege.edu/counseling and click on the "On-line Mental Health Screenings" link toward the bottom of the page) or come to the Counseling Center in Ebersole on Tuesday 2/19/08, between 11am and 1pm to take the screening and discuss your results with a counselor.

Dr. Andy McCollum, department of biology. The leatherback is the world’s largest, fastest swimming, and deepest diving, and farthest ranging reptile and is critically endangered. Dr. Andy McCollum will discuss the biology of this turtle, threats to this and other sea turtles, and his research with Cornell students on patterns of survival of these fascinating animals during their first hours at sea.

Dr. M. Neelika Jayawardane, assistant professor of English at State University of New York, discusses the July 2007 volume of Vogue Italia which contained some visually stunning, but unsettling images that combined haut couture with police brutality. Fashion magazines have long used the imagery of violence and degradation.

Darwin Turner Action Theatre of the University of Iowa presents My Name is Harriet Tubman
Since its founding as Black Action Theatre in the late 1960’s, the group has exposed Iowa audiences to African-American culture, thus promoting knowledge and understanding to people of different backgrounds. DTAT is now more culturally and socially inclusive, reflecting the growing diversity of our state and country.
