Cole Library hosts a preschool story time every Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. Cathy Boggs uses a weekly theme that ties together stories, songs and finger plays. Story hour lasts 30 minutes and is located in the Children's Room on first floor.

Summer Study in the Wilderness - Where Nature Takes its Course! Dr. Harlo Hadow, director of the Wilderness Field Station in northeastern Minnesota, talks about summer courses in the North Woods Canoe Country of Minnesota's Superior National Forest, at 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 7, in West Science 101. This well-loved 1982 off-Broadway musical comedy about a nerdy florist shop worker who raises a plant that fees on human blood has achieved enduring status as a campy classic.
