| 9:00 am | Chautauqua: Water: The Ubiquitous Chemical The CommonsCraig Teague, PhD Assistant Professor of Chemistry March 3, 10, 17, and 24. From a chemist's point of view water is quite the odd substance. It does not behave in "normal" ways that are characteristic of nearly every other substance known. We will explore the reasons for this chemical weirdness and we will see that the strange behavior of water follows directly from a few fundamental scientific principles. |
| 7:30 pm | Music Mondays: Tapestry (King Chapel) King ChapelTapestry, an international vocal ensemble, celebrates St. Patrick’s Day at Cornell College as the final event in the 2007-08 Music Mondays series. Admission is $10 for adults; $5 for students; Free to Cornell students, faculty, staff, emeriti faculty, retired staff and their families, and to holders of the Purple Pass. Performing from their album “Faces of a Woman,” including a number of St. Patrick’s Day appropriate Irish songs, Tapestry returns having performed at Cornell twice before. |
