9:30 am-10:00 am	Children's Story Time Cole Library Cole Library hosts a preschool story time every Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. Cathy Boggs uses a weekly theme that ties together stories, songs and finger plays. Story hour lasts 30 minutes and is located in the Children's Room on first floor.
11:10 am-12:00 pm	HAIG lecture The Commons Professor Carol Lacy-Salazar will present "The Quechua Language: A Study in Linguistic Efficiency." Having spent time in Bolivia and Peru, Prof. Lacy-Salazar developed a keen interest in Quechua. Quechua was the official language of the Inca Empire, and today it is spoken in Bolivia, Perú, Ecuador, southern Colombia, and northern Chile and Argentina. Her talk will focus on its exceptionally consistent grammatical structure and its use of suffixes (or infixes or particles).

5:30 pm-6:30 pm	Negotiating and Understanding Job Offers The Commons Learn tips on how and what to negotiate as well as understanding offers to make comparisons and choose the best one for you.
5:30 pm	Spanish Conversation Dinner The Commons Want to practice your Spanish? Join other Spanish-speaking students for an informal dinner and conversation in Spanish! Carry out dinner from Sodexho and meet at the big, round table in the Ratt.
