After victory anxiety prompted Americans to assign to government a large role in science for the first time. We'll profile some of the people, projects, agencies, and laboratories that have been most prominent in publicly directed science. Please Register by April 2nd

David has worked at the World Bank since 1974, and has an extensive background as a Projects Officer, Loan Officer, Country Officer, Education Economist, Agricultural Economist, and Education Specialist. The lecture is based off his presentation entitled: "The Use of Indigenous Languages in Early Basic Education in Papua New Guinea: A Model for Elsewhere?”. It is about how a poor country makes carefully thought-out choices to obtain the best results with the available (scarce) resources.
