Cole Library hosts a preschool story time every Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. Cathy Boggs uses a weekly theme that ties together stories, songs and finger plays. Story hour lasts 30 minutes and is located in the Children's Room on first floor.
11:15 am-12:00 pmHAIG lecture presented by Kerry Bostwick, Jean Donham, and Jill Heinrich The Commons
This presentation examines how a more authentic type of learning experience might be afforded to students in a senior capstone course and provide an overview of qualitative and ethnographic research project that invites meaningful inquiry by asking students to first articulate a research problem or question, followed by a process of on-going data collection and analysis. We'll conclude by sharing representative student projects.

Jason Kuehner '02 will deliver a seminar titled "Sorting through "junk" DNA: Biological roles for cryptic transcription" on Thursday, May 8th at 1:30 PM in West 100. Jason is finishing his Ph.D. in the Department of Biomolecular Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin.

7:00 pmStephanopoulos speaks at Cornell King Chapel
Journalist, author and commentator George Stephanopoulos, host of This Week with George Stephanopoulos on ABC, will speak at Cornell, King Chapel at 7 p.m. The lecture is open to the public and free of charge. Copies of Stephanopoulos' book All Too Human: A Political Education will be available for purchase at a book signing in Cole Library after the lecture. No credit card purchases at book signing; cash or check only.
