Cornell College Events

Since the late nineteenth century, Iowa's African Americans have participated in a variety of sports and contributed in profound ways to Iowa's sporting culture. This exhibit displays just a few of these amazing stories. Tyla Cole, Eastern Iowa Coordinator, African American Museum of Iowa will be present to answer questions from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. each day. Sponsored by the African-American Museum and Cultural Center of Cedar Rapids Iowa, Cole Library and Cornell's Office of Intercultural Life.
