| 6:30 pm | Cornell College celebrates the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The CommonsThis program will introduce four areas that Dr. King and hip-hop artists address through their music that are similar. This program will also examine the significance of incarceration, religion, and death in both movements. This multimedia program is interactive, historical, and thought provoking. Attendees will receive a historical understanding of the civil rights movement, Dr. King's life, and the creation and development of hip-hop as a culture. |
