| All day | Off Track: Teen Book Group Cole LibraryCheck out Off Track, the teen book discussion group for students in grade 7 & up. Off Track meets once a month in Room 326 of the library September through May. You decide which books will be read and discussed, and receive a copy of each title to keep. By: Brian Nowak-Thompson West ScienceSeveral species of soil bacteria produce antibiotic metabolites that affect the disease ecology of fungal-plant interactions. While we know some molecular genetics for the synthesis & transcriptional regulation of these metabolites, we know little about extracellular signaling processes affecting antibiotic production. This talk outlines ecological interactions of P. fluorescens' metabolites and presents a strategy to identify signals affecting production of its antibacterial metabolites. |
