The Organizations Committee is a standing committee within Student Senate that works to re-approve existing club constitutions as well as help students start new organizations. The committee is a resource for clubs on campus if they have questions related to Senate or about becoming a successful organization.

This Soul Friends gathering is a faith community that accepts folks for who they are, genuinely offers a safe place to touch grace and hope without shame over worst fears or doubts, and encourages spiritual growth without forcing folks into a rigid mold of what it means to be a Christian. An ecumenical offering blending progressive and traditional Christianity, depth, open minds toward other spiritual wisdom paths, love, and other soulful nourishment. ~Led by Chaplain and Soul Friends.

Have you heard about health care reform but want to learn more or have questions for the experts? Come to a panel discussion sponsored by the Berry Center, Dimensions, College Republicans, Cornell Democrats and Health Professions Society. Moderator and opening speaker will be Professor Chris Conrad, who teaches a course on health care financing at Cornell. Three other participants on the panel include experts Jason Hockenberry, assistant professor in health management and policy at the University of Iowa, Ted Townsend, president of St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, and Paul Cram, Hospitalist and Physician Researcher at the University of Iowa.

The Audit Committee is a subcommittee of the Appropriations Committee that works to help educate student organizations on funding policies and procedures of Student Senate and to ensure that student funds are being spent as allocated.

3:30 pm-4:30 pmDirecting I Auditions Armstrong Hall
The Directing I class will be holding auditions for showcase projects on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 3:30 and at 4:30 p.m. in the Blackbox Theatre. Auditioners do not need to have anything prepared. Just show up about 15 minutes prior to either of those times. The showcase productions will be mounted on the final Monday and Tuesday evening of the block. The participating directors are: Laura Blythe, Monica Brown, Andrew Decker, Hans Hinrichsen, Travis Jacobs, Jonathan Nadolny, Brock Nelson, Kayla Prestel, Maggie Schlundt, Anna Sewell, Jordan Stacey, and Kami Zbanek. This is a great way to get some acting experience without having to invest an inordinate amount of time. Come be a part of it!

The committee takes student ideas and suggestions and works with the administration and other student organizations to try and make them a reality. The birthplace of both the Purple Bike Program and the Frisbee Golf Course, Student Life wants to hear your ideas!
