Philosophy sneaks its way into popular culture and many films and television shows are laden with intricate philosophical issues and dilemmas, lying beneath the surface. What is the world around us really like? What are the limits of the human mind? In this course we will engage with these issues using clips from various movies and television shows, both old and new. You may be surprised to find out what serious questions lurk beneath even the most entertaining shows. Continues Nov. 5, 12, 19. Cost of the four-week program is $36. The group will make Halloween decorations using yarn in various ways. There will also be an opportunity for all who join to enter a raffle for a free surprise gift! |
