DESCRIPTION:Conversations About Teaching offers an opportunity for faculty
  to discuss topics related to the classroom. The topic for this block's C
 AT will be "Civic Engagement and Service-Learning."  In this session, weâ
 €™ll discuss the fundamentals of service--learning as a high impact pract
 ice for student success and models for integrating this practice into a v
 ariety of disciplines. We will also talk about resources available for fa
 culty through the Civic Engagement Office.  Cheri Doane, director of comm
 unity based learning at Central College, will facilitate the conversation
 . Participants are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch.
