SUMMARY:Music Mondays Concert: Tapestry and Friends
DESCRIPTION:A favorite of Music Mondays audiences, the Boston-based female
  vocal ensemble returns to perform a program including the world premiere
  of a work by James Falzone featuring the Cornell College Chamber Singers
  and clarinetist Joe Dieker, Cornell’s Academic Dean. General admission
  is $10 ($5 for students) at the door. Admission is free to Cornell stude

DESCRIPTION:The University of Iowa Museum of Art is sharing a collection o
 f Oaxacan wood-carvings originally shown in the 2006 exhibition, "Craftin
 g Traditions: Oaxacan Wood-Carvings," with the Peter Paul Luce Gallery. F
 eatured with the UIMA collection will be traditional folk art collected i
 n Michoacan by Doug Hanson and his wife, Sue Deibner '78, during trips wi
 th students to the region, as well as photographs taken in the pottery vi
 llage they visited. The exhibit runs Jan. 20 through March 3 and is free 
 and open to the public. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 2
  to 4 p.m. Sundays.
