SUMMARY:Pavla Brachova '09: What is graduate school really like?
DESCRIPTION:Pavla Brachova '09 is returning to share insights about gradua
 te school with current students. Brachova has degrees in biochemistry and
  Spanish from Cornell, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Universi
 ty of Iowa's Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in molecular and cellular
  biology. While at Cornell, Brachova was a member of the women's tennis t
 eam, Beta Beta Beta, and Sigma Delta Pi (Spanish Honorary Society). She w
 as recently awarded a grant from the Gerace Research Centre (GRC) in San 
 Salvador, Bahamas, in order to isolate and study the genetics of fire cor
 al in June.
