Dimensions provides assistance to students who are preparing for the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) and the Dental College Admissions Test (DAT). This assistance includes purchasing and proctoring practice exams for students and cost-sharing for commercial MCAT preparation materials. To access Dimensions financial support for test preparation, you must attend one of these two sessions. You may choose either the lunchtime or the late afternoon session.

This free program is a public library event and is not affiliated with the Mount Vernon School District. Families must call 895-4271 or stop in at the library's third-floor circulation desk to reserve a seat. Popcorn and a drink will be provided for each person.

Meg Jacobs, candidate for the teaching position in the department of education, will give a presentation titled "The Seeds of Learning: Inquiry, Connections, and Dialogue in the Elementary Classroom." A reception will follow in Moosehead Lounge.

All ASB participants will attend one of two trainings offered on January 15 and 16. DuWayne Brooks, former Director of Multicultural Affairs at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, will facilitate a workshop titled "What Makes You Think You're Normal?" Brooks is a retired student affairs practitioner and has more than 25 years of experience in higher education. He has conducted workshops on diversity, multiculturalism, cross cultural communication, inclusiveness, and cultural awareness for more than ten years.

How do making a commitment and acting consistently help you develop as a leader? Come to the session on Commitment to learn about this aspect of leadership. Note: This program is required for the Commitment certificate.
