| 11:30 am-12:30 pm | Pavla Brachova '09: What is graduate school really like? Thomas CommonsPavla Brachova '09 is returning to share insights about graduate school with current students. Brachova has degrees in biochemistry and Spanish from Cornell, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the University of Iowa's Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in molecular and cellular biology. While at Cornell, Brachova was a member of the women's tennis team, Beta Beta Beta, and Sigma Delta Pi (Spanish Honorary Society). She was recently awarded a grant from the Gerace Research Centre (GRC) in San Salvador, Bahamas, in order to isolate and study the genetics of fire coral in June. |
