Pavla Brachova '09 is returning to share insights about graduate school with current students. Brachova has degrees in biochemistry and Spanish from Cornell, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the University of Iowa's Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in molecular and cellular biology. While at Cornell, Brachova was a member of the women's tennis team, Beta Beta Beta, and Sigma Delta Pi (Spanish Honorary Society). She was recently awarded a grant from the Gerace Research Centre (GRC) in San Salvador, Bahamas, in order to isolate and study the genetics of fire coral in June.
