New Technology: Successes and Struggles
by Michelle Herder, Assistant Professor of History.
Professor Herder will discuss an assignment from her first block class which used Neatline, an online service which allows users to create and annotate interactive maps. Groups of first year students researched a particular piece of Medieval travel writing and created online exhibits using Neatline. Professor Herder will discuss how she developed the assignment, and what challenges she and her students ran into with Neatline.

HalloweenTown returns Oct 31, from 5 to 7 p.m., in downtown Lisbon. Several interiors and windows along Main Street will be decorated for the event, including the front room of the Lisbon History Center, 102 E. Main St., Lisbon, that has been turned into a Creepy Victorian Parlor.
