Dr. Erin Burnight, a 2002 Cornell grad, is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Iowa and is studying gene transfer techniques for retinal degeneration. The luncheon is a great opportunity to learn what Ph.D. programs entail, identify summer research opportunities at the University of Iowa, and ask questions about Burnight's research interests. Use your meal plan, grab your lunch in a to-go container, and join us in Shaw.

Come out and meet two of Cornell's dynamic Intercultural Life groups, the Black Awareness Cultural Organization and Prepare Achieve Lead Succeed. There will be music, food and fun!!! Come out and have a GREAT time!

Cornell College will host a community open house at the newly-renovated Garner President’s House. Red Cedar Chamber Music and familiar guest musicians will provide music starting at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
|6:30 pm||Tashlikh service|
To celebrate Rosh Ha-Shanah (the Jewish New Year), Hillel will join the Chaplain at her home at 6:30 p.m. for a Tashlikh service, where one's sins of the previous year are ritually "cast off" into a flowing body of water. A dinner of traditional Jewish foods will be served at the event. We will meet outside the Commons at 6:15 to walk there as a group. We request that people RSVP by Friday at noon. Persons religious or secular, Jewish or non-Jewish are welcome.
