Time Event Title
3:30 pm-5:00 pmBeyond Binaries: Exploring the Boundaries of Gender and Sexuality Cornell College
Workshop Facilitator: Dr. Pat Tetreault, Director of the LGBTQA Resource Center, University of Nebraska, Lincoln This workshop will help participants explore and discuss attitudes and boundaries we have learned about gender and sexuality. We have been raised in a culture that looks at biological sex and gender as if it exists in two distinct categories: Male/masculine and female/feminine although our life experiences are often quite different than these "fixed" constructs. Perceptions of individuals based on orientation and identity will be discussed and ways to move beyond socially constructed binaries will be explored. Participants are asked to complete a short survey related to the discussion on this website. Sponsored by LACE, Alliance, TWRG, and the Departments of Psychology and Sociology and Anthropology
6:45 pmCornell Fellows Showcase Thomas Commons
Our most recent Cornell Fellows will give presentations on what they did and learned during their fellowships. Please join us in celebrating their achievements. The Fellows presentation will take place in the Thomas Commons. Fellows Dinner to precede the presentations, by invitation only.
