3:30 pm	Financial Free-Fall -- Japan's Lost Decade: Implications for the U.S. The Commons Bruce Dalgaard, professor of business and economics and Asian studies at St. Olaf College, will examine Japan’s financial meltdown and economic stagnation in the 1990s (the "lost decade"), and discuss what lessons the Japanese experience holds for U.S. economic policy today. He is an expert on the economics of Japan and has lived and studied in Japan. Additionally, he has been the director of the ACM program in Tokyo.
