| Description: | Russell Rumbaugh, defense policy analyst at the Stimson Center, a Washington think-tank, will speak on the defense budget in a talk titled "The Defense Budget: How It Relates to Strategy." Rumbaugh is a well-regarded expert on budget issues related to defense and national security and has worked as an analyst for the U.S. Senate Budget Committee and as a legislative assistant for the House Armed Services Committee. He has also served as a military analyst at the C.I.A. and was an officer in the U.S. Army where he was recognized for his service in Kosovo. Rumbaugh holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Chicago and a master of science degree in security studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This lecture is presented under the auspices of the Washington-based National Security Network and sponsored by the Berry Center for Economics, Business, and Public Policy. |
