The Berry Career Institute and the Writing Studio are hosting a workshop on creating personal statements and cover letters on Friday, Jan 26 from 11:30 am - 12;30 pm in Hall-Perrine, TC. Whether you are applying to graduate programs or for a career, you will need a personal statement or cover letter. It must effectively and concisely describe who you are and why you are suited for your intended path, and also demonstrate your writing skills - this can make or break your application! Bring your lunch and learn the ins-and-outs of crafting your story and the best format in which to share it. LinkedIn headshots will also be offered from 12:30 - 12:45 p.m. or immediately following the session close.

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to join the chaplain for spiritual retreat at New Melleray Abbey, a Trappist Monastery near Dubuque. Includes silent reflection and centering prayer, sacred reading, the peace of monks chanting the psalms, a taste of monastic culture, and more. Limited space. Sign up deadline: Noon on Jan 26th.
