Join us at 7 p.m. in Hedges in the Thomas Commons for a lecture by Joshua Seeberg, manager of the Skills Initiative at the German-American Chamber of Commerce in Chicago. Mr. Seeberg will talk about the vast and varied presence of German companies in the United States (and especially the Midwest), the economic, political, and cultural opportunities and challenges of this sort of transatlantic business model, and internship and career opportunities for Cornell students in industries such as business and engineering. Question and answer session to follow Mr. Seeberg's lecture.

Join us at 7 p.m. in Hedges for a lecture by Wesley Carrington, senior attorney at John Deere in Moline, Illinois, (and formerly an international trade attorney at Hogan Lovells U.S. LLP in Washington, D.C.). Mr. Carrington, a native of Iowa City, will discuss international trade and the flow of goods between Germany and the United States, some of the current political and economic dynamics of regulating imports and exports, and his experiences working with foreign and domestic governments to resolve trade issues. He will also offer thoughts and advice for Cornell students interested in pursuing careers in law and international relations. A question and answer session will follow Mr. Carrington's remarks.
