Mar 18th | Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America Uptown Mount VernonThe Smithsonian Institution’s exhibit "Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America" travels to Mount Vernon March 18-April 29. The exhibit will be at the First Street Community Center, 221 First St. NE. Cornell will be represented with three companion exhibits--on the rise of women’s athletics at the college, the famed ’47 national championship wrestling team, and the Coe-Cornell rivalry. Exhibit hours are Wednesdays 10-6, Thursdays 10-8, Fridays-Saturdays 10-6, Sundays noon-4. Admission is free. |
2:00 pm Apr 22nd | Senior Art Majors Exhibitions, Receptions, 3 Location on Campus McWethy HallPlease join the Cornell College Department of Art & Art History from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, for a reception in celebration of the work of seven senior art majors. These exhibits will take place in three locations on campus: Cole Library Third Floor Gallery will host senior work by Joey Lacy. In Zamora's Cafe Gallery, Thomas Commons, Conor Moore will exhibit his senior work. Peter Paul Luce Gallery, McWethy Hall, will be the site of senior shows by Charlotte Anderson, Alondra Arias, Jessica Lopez, Anna Jandt Auvil, and Lillian Niswonger. These exhibitions run April 22 - May 2. |
