Information session for students interested in BIO 901: Audubon Center of the North Woods: Wolf and Lynx Ecology Experiences in Northern Minnesota. In what other course can you incorporate wolves, lynx, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and small airplanes? This exciting winter field course offers preparation for and participation in ongoing research projects in northeastern Minnesota on the ecology of wolves and lynx. Emphasis is placed on the winter ecology and conservation of these endangered species. Prerequisites: BIO 141 and 142. An alumnus of the course will be present to share his experiences and answer questions about the program. The course will be offered in January 2013 and interested students must submit a Petition to the Academic Standings Committee by Feb. 1, so hurry on over!

Spend a semester in Brazil! The ACM now offers a semester exchange program with the University of Juiz de Fora in Brazil. Learn to speak Portuguese, immerse yourself in Brazilian culture, and study anything you choose! Scholarships are available through the ACM. Come and learn more!

Is there a societal issue that you feel has not been adequately addressed or has no outlet for students interested in impacting that issue? Come learn how to create a Living and Learning Community! Examples could be sustainable living, the arts in schools, animal rights, education, childhood hunger, etc. These mandatory info sessions will explain the step by step process that is required to submit a charter application.
