Sign up on the OC for the sixth annual Unified Sports Day! Sign up will take place over lunch on Oct. 10 and 11 and Oct. 17 and 18. Unified Sports Day is Nov. 3 this year and is a day of intramural sports and activities with Special Olympic athletes from all over Iowa. All Cornell faculty, staff, and students are welcome to participate. If you have any questions please contact Jill Hopper, assistant director of Residence Life.
9:15 amGrassroots Event with President Obama Small Multi-Sport Center
President Obama will appear at the Small Multi-Sport Center. Doors to the event open at 9:15 a.m. Enter through the arena east doors. Early arrival is recommended. Cornell College seeks to engage its students and community in the 2012 Presidential election process. The college does not endorse any candidate seeking elected office or any political party. The college does support critical thinking and analysis of political candidates and how to become civically engaged in the American democratic process.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Cornell students and Mount Vernon residents can cast their ballots early for the November election. This will allow students to register to vote and first time Iowa voters may ask any questions. All Cornell students can register and vote in Iowa. Cornell College does not endorse any candidate seeking elected office or any political party. In this exploration of the most fatal virus known to science, journalist Bill Wasik and veterinarian Monica Murphy chart four thousand years in the history, science, and cultural mythology of rabies. If you are one of the 25 students who were selected to participate in this reading group, please join us for a discussion of the first half of the book.
