Chautauqua - Term 3

Event Detail
Date: Monday, November 12th
Time: 9:00 am-12:00 pm
Description:

Presented by Thomas Javoroski, lecturer in philosophy. Philosophy sneaks its way into popular culture and many films and television shows are laden with intricate philosophical dilemmas, lying beneath the surface. What is the world around us really like? What are the limits of the human mind? In this course participants will engage with these issues using clips from various movies and television shows, both old and new. It may be surprising to learn what serious questions lurk beneath even the most entertaining shows. Continues Nov. 5, 12, 19. Cost of the four-week program is $36. For more information call 895-4119.
