Conversations About Teaching offers an opportunity for faculty to discuss topics related to the classroom. The topic for this block's CAT will be "Civic Engagement and Service-Learning." In this session, we’ll discuss the fundamentals of service--learning as a high impact practice for student success and models for integrating this practice into a variety of disciplines. We will also talk about resources available for faculty through the Civic Engagement Office. Cheri Doane, director of community based learning at Central College, will facilitate the conversation. Participants are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch.
