Opens with instruction enfolding Eastern and Western spiritual approaches and medical stress-reduction perspectives. Throughout the year we will explore various relaxation response and breathing techniques, practices used in Zen theory and meditation, ancient Christian meditation/centering prayer, energy work (i.e. chakra meditation), and other modalities. Sponsored by the Office of the Chaplain and Spiritual Life.

Conversations About Teaching offers an opportunity for faculty to discuss topics related to the classroom. This month the CAT session will be on "Scholarships - Overview and Student Eligibility." Facilitating the event will be Gayle Luck, professor of education, associate dean of the college; Laura Farmer, writing studio director; and scholarship advisors. Participants are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch.

Originally from Michigan, Jetty Rae found her love of guitar playing in Hawaii. While there she became part of a hip-hop/rap group and toured for a period of time, eventually leaving for a more folk-type sound. She cites her influences as Lauryn Hill and Cat Power, among others. KRNL will be providing an opener, student Kaitie Saxe, as part of the Community Performance Series.

Dancing, singing, acting, creating artwork, and writing poetry. All these skills represent the arts and this program will highlight those African Americans who have contributed their talents to the arts. Celebrate with BACO as members of the Cornell community perform and showcase the work of African American artists as well as present original work.
