Dr. David Cwiertny, assistant professor in the department of civil and environmental engineering at the University of Iowa, will give a lecture titled "From Treatment Technologies to Pollutant Fate: Interfacial Processes and Materials Applications in Environmental Engineering and Chemistry." His research interests include materials-based treatment strategies for water and wastewater, and chemical transformation pathways for emerging contaminant classes in natural aquatic systems.
