Come join the Career Engagement Center in welcoming Quinn Pettifer, membership and community outreach manager for the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance. Pettifer will share tips and advice on what current students and upcoming graduates need to know to be an effective professional networker. She will also focus on how networking can not only be helpful in a job search, but also in growing your business and personal success.

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is offering a series of public lectures on the mathematics of Sudoku. Jim Freeman will lecture on Sudoku using material from the book "Taking Sudoku Seriously: The Math Behind the World's Most Popular Pencil Puzzle" by Jason Rosenhouse and Laura Taalman. Talks are open to any interested person. The first lecture will be March 6, with additional weekly sessions of blocks 7, 8, and 9. Each lecture will be made accessible for those who cannot attend each session.
