Charity Tyler, director of recruitment for the Zach Group, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, will be presenting on the dos and don'ts of interviewing, best practices for interview etiquette, and practical tips for interview success.

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is offering a series of public lectures on the mathematics of Sudoku. Jim Freeman will lecture on Sudoku using material from the book "Taking Sudoku Seriously: The Math Behind the World's Most Popular Pencil Puzzle" by Jason Rosenhouse and Laura Taalman. Talks are open to any interested person. The first lecture will be March 6, with additional weekly sessions of blocks 7, 8, and 9. Each lecture will be made accessible for those who cannot attend each session.

Anne Sanow will read from her work and take questions from the audience. Sanow is the author of the story collection "Triple Time," winner of the 2009 Drue Heinz Literature Prize and the 2010 L. L. Winship/PEN New England Award for fiction. Her book has been selected as a "Must-Read Book" from the 10th Annual Massachusetts Book Awards. She has also earned fellowhips at the Fine Art Work Center in Provinceton, Mass., from the MacDowell Colony and the National Endowment for the Arts. Sanow is teaching English 382-7: Linking Stories, Story Cycles, Making Stories. Students who are enrolled in these courses, or any students who might be interested in the subject of the course, are especially encouraged to attend this reading.
