Opens with instruction enfolding Eastern and Western spiritual approaches and medical stress-reduction perspectives. Throughout the year we will explore various relaxation response and breathing techniques, practices used in Zen theory and meditation, ancient Christian meditation/centering prayer, energy work (i.e. chakra meditation), and other modalities. The Berry Center is hosting an informal discussion with Logan Rott '07, who has worked as a finance operations analyst at J.P. Morgan and is now pursuing an M.B.A. from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester. While at Cornell he served as the first Cornell Fellow to have a placement at R.W. Baird in Milwaukee. This event is full.

Dr. Ingrid Peate, of the University of Iowa, will demonstrate the explosive properties of some volcanoes using water and liquid nitrogen. Expect loud noises and spectacular columns of water!
