Do you want to improve the well-being of Cornell students or learn and educate others about substance use, sexual assault, or suicide prevention? Peer Educators will provide mental health and wellness information on these topics to students through discussions, interactive presentations, and other outreach starting in Fall 2012. To learn more about the program and how to apply, come to an information session (5:30-6 p.m. on March 6 in Shaw; 4:15-4:45 p.m. on March 7 in Shaw; or 11:15-11:45 a.m. on March 8 in Harlan). Applications can be picked up at these sessions or at the Counseling Center's front desk in Ebersole; they are due by 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 22.

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is offering a series of public lectures on the mathematics of Sudoku. Jim Freeman will lecture on Sudoku using material from the book "Taking Sudoku Seriously: The Math Behind the World's Most Popular Pencil Puzzle" by Jason Rosenhouse and Laura Taalman. Talks are open to any interested person. The first lecture will be March 6, with additional weekly sessions of blocks 7, 8, and 9. Each lecture will be made accessible for those who cannot attend each session.
