The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is offering a series of public lectures on the mathematics of Sudoku. Jim Freeman will lecture on Sudoku using material from the book "Taking Sudoku Seriously: The Math Behind the World's Most Popular Pencil Puzzle" by Jason Rosenhouse and Laura Taalman. Talks are open to any interested person. The first lecture will be March 6, with additional weekly sessions of blocks 7, 8, and 9. Each lecture will be made accessible for those who cannot attend each session.

Students still looking for a roommate for the fall will have the opportunity to meet others looking for a roommate at the Roommate Social. The social will be held immediately following singles room selection at around 8 p.m. in the Ratt. If you do not find a roommate prior to Room Selection II on Thursday, April 26, you will be assigned a roommate and will select your room on Thursday evening beginning at 8:20 p.m.
