On Oct. 18, Sister 4 Sister will be sponsoring a service event called Walk a Mile in Your Sister's Shoes. This program will honor the month of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Males (and ladies, if you want to join in!) will walk a mile wearing high heels. Also, we will be holding contests for the following categories: fastest walker (best time), cutest heels, best strut, most enthusiastic, and more! The lovely members of Sister 4 Sister will be the judges. During the walk, volunteers and attendees will be given educational facts about domestic violence. Everyone is welcome to attend; there will be a lot of information and things to do while the event takes place! On behalf of Sister 4 Sister, we ask that you please spread the word, and if you find anyone that is interested and would like to participate, please have them contact We are also looking for any heel donations!
