Bring your dinner and hear a fantastic presentation by David Zarembka! David Zarembka graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in African history from Harvard University and obtained a master's degree in international and development education from the University of Pittsburgh. He has 49 years of involvement in the Great Lakes region as he first worked in the area in 1964 when he taught Rwandan refugees in now Tanzania. Since 1998, he has been the coordinator of the African Great Lakes Initiative of the Friends Peace Teams, a Quaker organization that promotes peacemaking activities with local groups in the region. He currently lives in western Kenya with his wife Gladys Kamonya. Sponsored by the Civic Engagement Office
