Presented by M. Philip Lucas, Ph.D., professor of history. This course covers the Civil War from 1863-1865. Optimism of the North and South had vanished, but slavery was also gone. We begin with the gloomy war news from Fredericksburg in December 1862 and the fragmenting political situation in the North. Military events will compose a significant portion of the course. This course continues Feb. 17, 24 and March 3. Cost of the four-week program is $36.00. For more information call 895-4119.

On Monday, Feb. 10, Cole Library will host a Monday Matinee Movie. The movie "Red 2," will begin at 1 p.m. in Room 108 on the library's first floor. Red 2 is an action comedy film and sequel to the 2010 film Red. In this episode, Retired C.I.A. agent Frank Moses reunites his retired team of elite operatives for a global mission. RED is the acronym for Retired, Extremely Dangerous. Please call 895-4271 to reserve your seat.
