Presented by M. Philip Lucas, Ph.D., professor of history. This course covers the Civil War from 1863-1865. Optimism of the North and South had vanished, but slavery was also gone. We begin with the gloomy war news from Fredericksburg in December 1862 and the fragmenting political situation in the North. Military events will compose a significant portion of the course. Cost of the four-week program is $36.00. For more information call 895-4119.
