Prof. George Kraus from Iowa State University will present a seminar. Join us at 3:30 p.m. for a reception before the talk at 4 p.m. Talk details: From plastic bottles to chemicals used in food production, there is a growing recognition that we need to produce these materials from renewable resources and by more environmentally benign processes. In less than two decades the field of green chemistry has emerged. The guiding principles of this emerging area will be presented along with examples of successful reactions.
