Join us for lunch with Herbert Quelle, the German Consul General in Chicago, as we discuss German-U.S. relations, careers in international diplomacy, and strategies for integrating outsiders into our local communities. All students, staff, and faculty are welcome. Bring your lunch from the Hilltop Grill down to Hall-Perrine and join us!

Are you not sure what major you plan to pursue here at Cornell? Come to this workshop with Brooke Paulsen from Academic Support & Advising to think through different exploration techniques, including being strategic in your course selection for future blocks. This will be interactive, and you will log-in to self-service and look through different options. We'll discuss the BA distribution requirements, the resources online to determine course requirements for different majors, as well as discuss the possibility of creating your own major. First-year and second-year students who aren't sure how to explore their options are encouraged to attend!

Join the Berry Career Institute and Student Senate for the global launch of Justin Kerr's latest book, "How To Be a Boss". A follow-up to Kerr's "How To Write An Email", this guide is necessary reading for navigating the early years of your professional career and how to be an effective leader or willing follower. As Chief Merchandising Officer with UNIQLO (Asia's largest retail brand), and holding previous leadership roles at Gap and Levi Strauss, managing $1B businesses, Kerr looks forward to sharing plenty of dos and don'ts as you think about life after Cornell. The German Film Festival will feature four recent, critically-acclaimed films from Germany, each one engaging with the topic of immigration, multiculturalism, and outsiders in Germany and Europe. This first film, "Almanya: Welcome to Germany" (2011), is a comedy about a multi-generational Turkish-German family and its navigation of a tricky question: are they Germans, are are they Turks?
