The Cornell Jazz Ensemble, in conjunction with Slick Shoes, will present a "Night of Swing" Dance on Friday, March 24, 7:00-9:00 PM in the Smith Dining Room, Thomas Commons. Slick Shoes will provide dance lessons beginning at 6:30 PM for anyone interested in learning a few dance steps before the show begins. From the great big band tunes of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Thelonius Monk and Roy Brown to the Latin favorites by such greats as Piazzolla and Mangione, the Jazz Ensemble will provide an evening of entertainment for your listening and dancing pleasure. The Cornell Jazz Ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Martin Hearne, Professor of Music. Admission is free and open to the public.
