Sessions enfold seated and movement-based meditation from diverse Eastern and Western approaches. Includes contemplative wisdom for everyday life. Come for increased calm, compassion, resiliency, stress reduction, and ability to be more skillful with difficult emotions. Led by certified instructor (CQE). The Berry Career Institute and the Writing Studio are hosting a workshop on creating personal statements and cover letters on Friday, Jan 26 from 11:30 am - 12;30 pm in Hall-Perrine, TC. Whether you are applying to graduate programs or for a career, you will need a personal statement or cover letter. It must effectively and concisely describe who you are and why you are suited for your intended path, and also demonstrate your writing skills - this can make or break your application! Bring your lunch and learn the ins-and-outs of crafting your story and the best format in which to share it. LinkedIn headshots will also be offered from 12:30 - 12:45 p.m. or immediately following the session close.

7:30 pmSteel Drum Ensembles - Pre-Tour Concert King Chapel
The Steel Drum Ensembles, including Panarchy, Pandemonium, the Calypso Singers, and Calypso Horns, have been invited to perform at the Hart Performing Arts Series in Hart, Michigan, on Feb. 9. The groups will present the on-campus concert for the Cornell community at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, on stage in King Chapel. This concert will serve as the send-off performance for the groups and is the first in a series of concerts that will be presented in Iowa, Illinois, and Michigan on the 4-day tour of the upper Midwest. Admission is free and open to the public.
