A learning, support, & practice group for helping you be happier & more compassionately skillful with stress & other difficulties amid everyday life. Drop by the Van Etten-Lacey House (408 3rd St SW) on Friday afternoons (Weeks 1-3, 3-6 p.m.) to write alongside others in a cozy, inspiring setting. Enjoy coffee, tea, and cinnamon rolls as you write from one of the provided prompts or work independently. Students, faculty, and staff are all welcome. The campus community is invited to meet a candidate for the tenure-track, assistant professor position in the Department of Politics. The candidate will give a presentation titled “Judicial Pork: The Congressional Allocation of Districts, Seats, Meeting Places, and Courthouses to the U.S. District Courts” from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14. A reception will immediately follow in Moosehead Lounge.
