|4:00 pm-5:00 pm||Visiting Writer Marc Nieson Reads from His Memoir Van Etten-Lacey House|
Writer Marc Nieson will read from his memoir, "Schoolhouse: Lessons on Love and Landscape," an All-Iowa Reads finalist book for 2017. Nieson is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and NYU Film School. His background includes children’s theatre, cattle chores, and a season with a one-ring circus. His prose has earned a Raymond Carver Short Story Award, the Literal Latte Fiction Award, and two Pushcart Prize nominations. He serves on the faculty of Chatham University and is fiction editor at The Fourth River.

A Stammtisch is a dinner table around which friends join for fun and conversation. At Cornell, our Stammtisch meets in the dining hall (look for the German flag) every Wednesday evening from 5-6 p.m. and offers you the chance to speak and listen to some German.
