We will be going over some essay basics and peer-reviewing each other's drafts; the campus deadline for the Fulbright application is Sept. 24.

Cole Library will show "Early Man" on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 1:30 p.m. in Room 108 on the library’s first floor. We will provide popcorn and a drink for each person. This free program is a public library event and is not affiliated with the Mount Vernon School District. Families must call 895-4271 to reserve a seat. Mount Vernon Bank and Trust sponsors this program.

5:15 pm-8:30 pmEmma Goldman Clinic Volunteer Night Iowa City
The Civic Engagement Office will be coordinating transportation to the Iowa City Emma Goldman Clinic Volunteer Night, leaving Cornell around 5:15 p.m. and returning around 8:30 p.m. The clinic offers free services for all women in Iowa and the surrounding area. During Volunteer Night, volunteers both receive education and perform whatever tasks are necessary at the time. Contact civic@cornellcollege.edu if you need transportation or have any questions and want to create tangible change in our community.

Join the Student Literary Advisory Board (SLAB) for our first open meeting of the school year, at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, in the Van Etten-Lacey House. All students are welcome to attend as we plan our annual Halloween events. Light refreshments will be provided.
